Hi Everybody!
Departure day is fast approaching! I am having trouble fully comprehending the fact that after waiting two and a half years I am leaving for my second trip in less than two weeks! To say I am excited is a slight understatement...okay, a MAJOR understatement. I cannot wait to see all the kids again! I am not sure how many I will recognize from my last trip, but I do know that some of the same kids will be there. It is going to be a bit odd to see them all two years taller.
Tony (dude that started Orphan Voice with wife Cindy) gave me some more info the other day that has me stoked. In the couple days surrounding when I get to Vietnam there are five other young ladies that will be arriving to volunteer with Orphan Voice and they are going to put us all together into a small team. I am really happy that I will have other gals to serve alongside with, and people who will be as lost as myself and who will speak English.
Tony gave me another piece of info that is really neat. Our little team is going to be spending most of our time in the city of Da Nang helping at Promise House, the same orphanage I spent almost all my time at last time. I think you all have gotten the point that I am really excited about that so I will not reiterate it again! However, in addition, we are going to be helping at a more rural orphanage our in the countryside. I drove through some suburbs and countryside when our team took a day off last trip, but I did not spend any time so I am really looking forward to staying out there for part of the time.
